An update on Salome and her cubs

Salome's cub two

After six months with their mother, Salome’s cubs have finally been removed from her care and placed into the Crèche. As the youngsters are eating a diet of meat now, and are showing signs of independence, we decided it was time to give Salome the solitude she craved.

The cubs have adapted well to their new surroundings, and spend long hours chasing one another at play. Salome has also settled back into her old routine, and is enjoying the quiet and solitary life so cherished by female cheetahs.

Well done Salome on successfully raising this litter. You are a great mother, and we loved sharing the journey with you!
