August Students – Update 1

River Rafting Do’s and Don’ts

During our time here so far we have seen and done so many things.

We’ve fed the cheetahs, lions, birds, wild cats and deer. The wild African dogs came alarmingly close during feeding time, and Zeta the zebra has taken to following us around.

The vulture restaurant, although a place of fine dining for the vultures of the centre, is thankfully not where we have to eat dinner!

We’ve been kept awake at night by the roars of the lions, and are woken up in the morning by the cheerful greetings of the warthogs, giraffes and monkeys that congregate outside the fence of the camp.

We’ve went rafting on the Sabie River and came face to face with a crocodile! And we enjoyed a boat trip along the Blyde River Canyon, where we were accompanied by two little hippos.

We all can’t wait to see what’s in store for us over the next week.

The Group! 😉
