Theresa Sowry, CEO of the Southern African Wildlife College, recently arranged for her children, Gareth and Kelly Davidson, to visit the HESC during the school holidays. Theresa is an ardent supporter of HESC, and her children are both junior adoptees* of cheetahs at the Centre.
As part of their Outreach Programme, Gareth and Kelly needed a certificate of proof of their volunteer work at HESC, which included their help in the feeding of the cheetahs, and preparation of the food for the smaller cat species. Their mother, Theresa, had the following to say: Thank you so much for all you organised for the kids on Wednesday. They had an absolute ball! I took them to Mopane for the night and must say they smelt absolutely disgusting in the car!!! A clear sign that they had worked outside their comfort zone, and gotten their hands dirty! Thank you so much, and please thank your fantastic team!â€
We’d like to thank Gareth and Kelly for all their hard work, it was a pleasure having them here!
* Jnr adoption involves a R2,500 donation to the care of one cheetah. For more information, go to https://hesc.co.za/FUNDING/junior-adoption.html
