G&H Transport and Repairs adopts Khula

HESC-Cheetah-adoption

Jimmy & Heather Giannoccaro, Craig Paul, Rosemary Blignaut and Lesley Blignaut with Khula

Khula – who is part of our “Senior Adoptions” campaign – was adopted by Heather and Jimmy Giannoccaro, owners and representatives of G&H Transport and Repairs. After attending a wedding in the area, the Giannoccaro family and some of their co-workers spent a night at Kapama River Lodge so that they could visit the company’s newest team member.

G&H Transport and Repairs transports dangerous goods such as explosives to various mines around Africa.

“Our drivers encounter a lot of wildlife on their travels, especially within Zimbabwe and Tanzania, and have never really had much of an appreciation for these animals. We hope that by us adopting Khula, he will represent something tangible and real to them. We want them to realize that these animals are not only special, but seriously endangered and in need of looking after by places such as HESC,” said Heather. She added that Khula would give their staff something to brag about while stuck at the border posts chatting with other long distance drivers.
