HESC believes in the education of young minds about wildlife conservation. In the past we have partnered with a local rural school, Paulos Ngobeni Primary School, located 25km from HESC.

As part of the the Wildlife Conservation Experience (WCE), participants will engage with these students, either through teaching them when they visit the centre, or through interacting with them when visiting the school.

Recently we have partnered with a new school, Lumukisa Primary School, also located in Acornhoek, Mpumalanga, South Africa. The school supports 795 learners and 19 teachers.

As part of the partnership, we try to assist the schools with much-needed equipment by sharing their wish list with the participants of the Wildlife Conservation Experience, as well as with visitors to the centre and our supporters. Funds may also be raised by visitors or interested parties.

We have summarised the wish list for Lumukisa Primary School, should you have resources at your disposal to assist:

• Stationery + Notepads
• Video Camera
• Clothing (especially for winter)
• Toilets (cement, plumbing parts, etc.)
• Gardening Tools
