On Sunday, 20th November 2016 the annual Telkom 94.7 Cycle Challenge was held in Johannesburg and a group of cyclists participated on behalf of HESC to raise funds. This is in fact the second year that we’ve had cyclists riding to raise funds for HESC. Judging from the pictures, it seems everyone had a good time.
We’d like to thank everyone who participated and rode for the HESC animals. A whopping R20 000 was raised for the centre!
Below is a pictorial of activities during the day…
Some of the riders…
Sunet Snyman showing off her medal…
Jaco Scheepers – talking to the jumping muscles in his leg…
Frikkie Reynders preparing for the race…
Loenen Coetzee and Arno Frőbus – not looking tired…
Louis Roodt – our Mr Incredible!!!
Louis went twice around the track and finished before many of the other riders… We are soooo proud of Louis, and holding thumbs for the ABSA Cape Epic Challenge!
Hestelle Preakelt – our bubbliest personality of the day…
Clouds at Kyalami… The sky from our stand.
And there was time for smiles and deep thoughts…
This is what you call dedication – 94.7 with a beaded rhino head!!!
Supporters from the past visiting our stand… trying on the HESC bandana.
Thanks Terry Morgan – hope you are part of our team again next year.
Colombia Railway Construction and Maintenance CC made these beautiful shirts possible… Thank you – the athletes looked great in their eye-catching attire!
Afterwards – tired but happy athletes.
Thank you each and every person who made this exceptionally wonderful day possible.
