HESC offers an internship opportunity to two candidates

Ms Lousi Monareng (Internship candidate), Mrs Lente Roode (Founder member of HESC), Mrs Heidi Roberts (US Friends of HESC), Mr Allen Roberts (US Friends of HESC), Pastor Andrews Madonsela and Mr Isaak Malepe (Internship candidate)

After Simon Mnisi’s success story, Mr & Mrs Roberts from the US Friends of HESC wanted to help more young people from underprivileged communities.

We contacted a local pastor, Pastor Andrews, and enquired if he knew of any promising youngsters who were struggling to find a job. He was quick to make a recommendation, and during Mr & Mrs Roberts’ visit to Hoedspruit, they and Lente Roode were introduced to two potential intern students. They decided to give both of the candidates a chance!

Per our standard practise, candidates are taken in for two weeks on a trial basis, after which a decision is made as to whether to place them at the Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre for the one year internship.

Lousi and Isaak are currently with us at the Centre.

We wish them luck, and will keep you updated with their progress!
