We’d like to say a big ‘Thank You’ to everyone who’s made a contribution and assisted us in any way during the last month.
TRANA Gym in Sweden holds a yoga day event annually. This year they not only decided to bring awareness to the plight of the rhino, but also wanted to raise funds for the Rescued Rhinos @ HESC. An impressive ZAR29,263 was raised for which we are eternally grateful.
St Andrew’s School for Girls
Members of the St Andrew’s School for Girls community donated ProNutro boxes to feed our orphaned rhino, Lula. Together, they managed to collect a total of 58 boxes!
Rivonia Primary School
In an effort to raise awareness for the plight of the rhino, Rivonia Primary School participated in the Rhino Art initiative. The school also sold rhino badges to raise funds for the Rescued Rhinos @ HESC. We are so proud of Rivonia Primary School for raising an unbelievable total of ZAR7,700!
Gielie and Melanie Nienaber
Gielie and Melanie Nienaber who donated chew sticks for our anti-poaching canines.
Tatiana and Marcello Ferreira
Since their visit to the centre last year, Tatiana and Marcello Ferreira, from Brasilia, have been passionately helping us in any way possible.
Apart from the on-site contributions and donations they’ve already made, they went back to Brasilia with the aim of getting the word out about the work HESC does. They’ve been cycling around Rio de Janeiro in their branded HESC cycling shirts. We wish them many safe and happy cycling trips.
Pack for A Purpose
We’ve been part of the Pack for A Purpose initiative for some time, and recently received items donated by travellers from all over the world. The items including art materials, stationary and books will be donated to our community outreach programmes.
Special thanks to all our supporters who continue to make donations via our online portal and PayPal.
