March Students – Update 1

Since their introduction, our students have been kept really busy. They dropped us a quick note to let us know what they’ve been up to.
We are now in our second week at the HESC, and the experience so far has been amazing – from preparing the animal food and feeding the animals, to escorting “Crunchy” a male cheetah to the vet for the suturing of his ear.
Work here is varied and demanding, but rewarding.  We are excited about our trip to the Kruger National Park and the Khamai Reptile Centre this afternoon. Interacting with the younger six cheetah cubs has been fun, and also a huge privilege as close contact with these cats is rare.
We hope our final week is just as enjoyable, and in some ways we know it will be.

p.s. Getting up at 5 am for butchery is epic!
