Hesc ostriches

Our three resident ostriches found new freedom at the Centre after we opened up their camp. They are now free to explore the entire property as they forage for insects, seeds and pebbles within their vastly increased home range.

They are already a big hit with visitors to the Centre, as they walk right up to the vehicles looking for something shiny to peck at.

We are monitoring them daily to see how they are adapting to their new environment.
