The python – safely ensconced in a cage
Licia – one of our curators at HESC – found a large python in the cheetah camp of “Flenters” yesterday. Obviously the intruder had to be removed from the enclosure, for Flenters safety! We assume that the snake had been in hibernation and had just come out, as it is a very large specimen and has no way of entering the camp unnoticed. The python was captured by Basie and Richard, and transported to the Kubu dam area for release. We wish our reptile friend a happy new home – a safe 20km away from HESC!
