Spotlight on: Anri De Waal

You may have already read about Anri on our Facebook page, but after a bout of malaria left her on sick leave for a while, we didn’t have time to pick her brains for the blog until now! We’re really glad that Anri is back on her feet! She has been working as a tour guide for HESC for about 2 months now, and will be here for the rest of the year in order to complete her practical for her diploma in Nature Conservation at TUT.
This is what Anri has to say:
What made you decide to do your practical at HESC?
I love animals so HESC was the obvious choice to do my practical. There is so much room for experience and growth here at the Centre.
What do you love most about working at HESC so far?
I love the friendly people that work here and I really enjoy educating guests about what we do. I also love seeing all the animals every day and living in this peaceful environment. NO TRAFFIC!! J
What are your future goals?
I would really love to study animal health and behavior to enable me to work more closely with the animals!
We are happy to have you with us Anri
