Renier arrived at the HESC on 3 February to work as a tour guide. After studying in the field of nature conservation, he worked in construction for a while. However, our hard-working new guide is very happy to be back in the bushveld and away from the chaos of city life.

What made you decide to work at HESC?
“I was looking for a new challenge and was eager to begin working at a new place where I could use my skills and my passion for conservation.”
What do you love most about working for HESC so far?
“I enjoy working with the friendly staff, seeing beautiful animals every day and experiencing so many new things.”
What are your future goals?
“I would like to work at a 5-star lodge one day, and take my guiding further.”
