Rebekah Westall, Margareth Santos, Rebecca Ackerman and Emma McGrath
Four new students have joined Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre (HESC) for the Students Programme and we are pleased to introduce them to you:
“My name is Rebekah Westall, affectionately known as Beccy, from Guildford England and I’m 27 years old. I’m currently studying animal behaviour and welfare. Visiting Africa and experiencing its wildlife has been a life long dream. I’d like to be an animal behaviourist or work in an animal sanctuary once I complete my degree”.
“My name is Emma McGrath. I’m 29 years old and am from England. I have 3 children and a husband who all support me while I’m studying for my animal welfare and behaviour degree. I came here, as my future goal is to work alongside cheetahs and I feel HESC can give me an unforgettable experience”.
“I’m Margareth Santos from Brazil, and as a vet I want to learn and help with wildlife conservation. I’m sure that it will be an incredible experience.”
“I’m Rebecca Ackerman from Wellington, South Africa. I’m 19 years old and want to study veterinary science next year. Wildlife is one of my biggest passions”.
Watch this space in the weeks to come where we will share with you what our students have been up to as part of the Students’ Programme.
